Support Group Offerings

“People need people - for initial and continued survival, for socialization, for the pursuit of satisfaction. No one - not the dying, not the outcast, not the mighty - transcends the need for human contact.”

Family & Relational Support for Eating Disorder Recovery

This is an 8-week support and education group designed for parents, partners, family members, and other support people who want to better understand eating disorders and learn how to provide compassionate support. This group offers a space to gain knowledge, connect with others who are navigating similar experiences, and develop practical skills for supporting recovery while also caring for yourself.

Group members will learn how support needs may differ based on the type of eating disorder, developmental stage, and co-occurring factors such as athlete identity, OCD, and neurodivergence. Sessions will address the unique considerations involved in supporting adolescents, young adults, and partners, as well as strategies for responding when a loved one is resistant to treatment or recovery. Topics will also include effective communication skills, navigating difficult conversations, setting appropriate boundaries, and processing the emotional impact of supporting someone with an eating disorder.
